Terms of Service
Last updated: May 13, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AV League platform operated ("AV League," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Platform Overview
AV League is a labor management platform that connects audio-visual and event production companies ("Vendors") with independent contractors ("Contractors"). AV League facilitates bookings, scheduling, time tracking, invoicing, and payments. AV League is not an employer of any Contractor.
2. Independent Contractor Status
Contractors using AV League are independent contractors, not employees of AV League or of any Vendor. Contractors control their own schedules, methods of work, and may accept or decline any engagement. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years of age to use this platform.
4. Payments and Escrow
Vendors fund escrow upon confirming a Contractor booking. Funds are held securely and released to the Contractor upon Vendor approval of the work log. AV League uses Stripe to process all payments. AV League may charge platform fees as disclosed at the time of transaction.
5. Tax Responsibilities
Contractors are solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on earnings received through the platform. AV League maintains the documentation necessary to support 1099-NEC reporting for Contractors who earn $600 or more in a calendar year as required by law. Contractors must provide accurate tax identification information (W-9) upon request.
6. Electronic Agreements
By signing agreements on this platform using your typed name, you agree that such signatures constitute legally binding electronic signatures under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN Act). Your IP address and timestamp are recorded for each signature.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: misrepresent your identity or qualifications; use the platform to circumvent agreed payment arrangements; harass other users; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform; or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to other users, third parties, or the platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AV League shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you to AV League in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. SMS Communications
By providing your mobile phone number during account registration, you consent to receive text messages from AV League. Messages may include shift offers, schedule reminders, availability requests, payment notifications, and other time-sensitive platform updates. Message frequency varies based on platform activity. Message and data rates may apply. To opt out of SMS messages at any time, reply STOP to any message. To request help, reply HELP. Opting out of SMS may limit your ability to receive time-sensitive shift notifications. For support: support@avleague.com

AV League, as the platform operator, retains administrative access to all enterprise accounts for purposes of technical support, platform maintenance, and ensuring platform integrity. This access may be used to troubleshoot issues at your request or as necessary to operate the platform. We do not use this access to compete with your business or share your data with third parties.
